Returning viewers can keep their assigned avatar instead of starting over every stream.
Both communities can share the same stage, with platform labels making each participant easy to recognize.
Add the Lingo Echo Browser Source once, then configure allowed avatars, size, labels and on-screen limits from the dashboard.
Lingo Echo Viewer Avatars represent chat participants as small animated characters along the bottom of a stream. When an eligible viewer talks, their assigned character can appear in the OBS Browser Source with their username and an optional speech bubble. Returning viewers can retain their assignment, making the avatar feel like part of their identity in the community.
The broadcaster controls the feature from the Lingo Echo dashboard. Settings include the available characters, maximum number visible at once, avatar size, username labels and the horizontal area in which characters may move. Broadcasters and moderators have distinctive username colors, and Kick participants can receive a recognizable platform badge.
Viewers can animate their character with commands such as !jump, !run, !dance, !fly, !balloon, !car, !panic and !shy. Pair commands allow visible avatars to meet through actions such as !hug @viewer, !fight @viewer and !fence @viewer. The playground above uses real Lingo Echo avatar and vehicle artwork to demonstrate a small selection.
Avatars can also react to stream events. Raids can make the characters dance, cheers can create a temporary golden effect, and gifted subscriptions can trigger a visible package. Optional moderation integration places a timed-out viewer’s character in an on-screen jail for the duration of the timeout.
The avatar layer is part of the Lingo Echo overlay. The streamer adds the supplied Browser Source URL to OBS or compatible streaming software. Viewers do not install a game or download character files; their commands arrive through chat and Lingo Echo sends the corresponding visual action to the overlay.
They require the Lingo Echo browser overlay to be visible. OBS and other software that supports browser sources can display it.
Viewers can use the supported change command, subject to the characters the streamer has enabled.
